The Riso–Photo Zine–Book

from $500.00

Over the course of this class students will explore printing their own photographic work on the Penumbra Risograph [RISO]: a process well suited to the production of small edition prints, posters, books, and zines. The course will cover basic use of the RISO – no previous experience is necessary – and will then move on into an exploration of the challenges and opportunities of producing lens-based work on the machine. Topics covered will include: color separations, halftones, proofing + printing, paper, and general production practices. Several Photoshop and InDesign techniques related to Risograph printing will also be covered. Experimentation will be encouraged throughout.
